Cryosurgery

Cryosurgery

Cryosurgery (or cryotherapy) is the use of extreme cold to destroy abnormal cells detected during a colposcopy. Cryosurgery is performed in the office and requires no anesthesia. There is minimal discomfort during the procedure. You will experience a watery discharge for several weeks as the abnormal cells are eliminated from the cervix.

Dr. Gail Pezzullo-Burgs, Dr. Harris, and Dr. Chen have specialized training and extensive experience.
